oUR pRACTICE

Located in the Bay Ridge neighborhood, Brooklyn Birthing Center (BBC) is the longest-operating licensed freestanding birthing center in New York City. The center was founded by Dr. Norma Veridiano in 1999 to provide a safe, low-intervention option for low-risk pregnant people. The midwifery led birth center offers high-quality, family-centered care, allowing healthy people the freedom and flexibility to have their unmedicated birth in a calm, home-like environment.

Brooklyn Birthing Center is staffed by the Brooklyn Midwifery Group. Our experienced, licensed and board-certified midwives are deeply committed to supporting and empowering clients and their families.
