Planning on Breastfeeding? If so, come join La Leche League leader Paula (and certified lactation counselor) for "Breastfeeding 101" here at the Brooklyn Birthing Center. Classes are $35. There are no additional fees for partners who are also welcome to attend. The following topics will be covered:
1) Why is it so important to breastfeed our baby's?
2) What can we do to prepare ourselves for breastfeeding?
3) Nutrition, Positioning and latch-on.
4) What to expect when your milk comes in?
5) How to use a breast pump and sling?
6) What support groups are in our community?
